IGI FORMALLY ADOPTS THE PERC CODE FOR RESERVE AND RESOURCE REPORTING BY IGI MEMBERS

The IGI, with the Institute of Mining, Mineralogy and Materials, the Geological Society of London and the European Federation of Geology has been active in promoting a Pan-European Reserves and Resources Reporting Code, the first edition of which was issued in 2001 and has now been updated as PERC Code 2008. The IGI Board formally adopted the PERC code for reserves and resources reporting by IGI members at a board meeting on the 9th of December 2009 and the code is now binding on all Professional Members of the IGI. All members of the IGI who work on reserve and resource reporting are now bound by the PERC Code.
